Unique Arts and Crafts Galore
It’s Northern Virginia’s grand opening celebration of the holiday season! This spectacular, award-winning holiday show features 225 fine artisans from more than 30+ states. Artisans offer a diverse selection of fine arts, pottery, jewelry, stained glass, wood, photography, fiber arts, vintage re-creations as well as thousands of one-of-kind Christmas collectibles. Select specialty food vendors will offer gift-packaged gourmet fare. These tasty homemade goodies are ideal for creating wonderful gift baskets, loading up Santa’s stockings, and gathering those hard-to-find executive gifts. A major food drive benefiting the Capital Area Food Bank is held during this event each year as well.

John Pattenden of Patent Artwork starts with an historic/iconic patent, then extracts key elements like drawings, claims, signatures, etc and creates his own design in Adobe. The Colletta Collection (Christine Eckstein, president) Coletta Collections is a group of artisans with disabilities in the Washington, DC area. All of the items that are sold in their booth are handmade by one of their artisans. They sell a variety of fused glass tableware, lanterns, as well as hand woven scarves and other home décor made by their artists. All the proceeds from booth sales return directly to the program to pay them and to purchase more supplies to assist them in learning new skills! It is always good to give a gift that has such meaning behind it! Come see their beautiful collection in booth #204. |

Their soup mixes are easey-peasey to put together for a quick hearty meal, as are their dessert mixes, their famous cornbread mixes and many more scrumptious packaged goods! Capital Area Food Bank
The Northern Virginia Christmas Market holds a major food drive each year benefiting the Capital Area Food Bank by offering discoounted admission to attendees donating cans of non-perishable food. Last year over 5,000 pounds of food was collected during this popular 3-day event. And, over 85,000 pounds of food have been collected in the last 10 years. Side Note: The tractor trailers you see on the highway can carry about 40,000 pounds of canned food. Thank you for your generous donations!
