When Monique McWhite of Art Cat first applied to the show, we thought instantly her medium was photography, until we read her artist statement. THAT is how incredible her acrylic paintings are! The focus for Monique’s art, has been the sky and ocean. The atmosphere and energy is always changing and she loves the way light reflects off water & wet sand. “The imagery never gets old as the ocean can be quiet and calm one moment and become powerful, full of movement the next” explains Monique. Come welcome her to the show in Booth #615 |

Lee and Laurie Dayvault started out in their kitchen in 2005 making screen printed beach bags for their hometown labor day craft show. They also decided to sell a few wooden signs they had designed on scrap wood - a total afterthought. The signs sold out, the beach bags… meh – not so much...and a wonderful world of fun vintage-inspired signs was born. Lee and Laurie live near a lake, so that was their first inspiration, but then it carried over into pool signs, outdoor signs, fireside signs and of course surf and beach signs! The Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia & The Red Cross need your help!
Times are tough, donations are down and people in need of help are numerous. Food banks are experiencing a critical shortage of supplies as donations drop and demand for free and discounted food continues to soar. The Virginia Beach Christmas Market holds a major food drive each year benefiting the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia by offering $1 off admission to attendees donating cans of non-perishable food.
Last year over 8,000 pounds of food was collected during the 3-day event. And, well over 100,000 pounds of food have been collected in the last 10 years. Side Note: The tractor trailers you see on the highway carry about 40,000 pounds.
Thank you for your generous donations! Let's break a record this year!
Give Blood = Free Entry
We will also be offering free admission to anyone that donates blood to the Red Cross. They will be on site all 3 days from 9am. - 3pm.
We hope to see you there!
