[img_assist|nid=6|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=341|height=122]The Virginia Beach Spring Craft Market will feature 200 fine artists and craftspeople from across the nation offering fine arts, handcrafted jewelry, wood, glass, photography, candles, woven baskets, clothing, toys, folk art and specialty foods. Each piece is a creation from the skilled hands of an American craftsperson. Each purchase supports the history and tradition of true American craftsmanship.
It is a great time to introduce new lines and special accessories for the home and garden. We are especially interested in wrought iron, wreaths, garden statuary, birdhouses, outdoor furniture, pottery and wind chimes and other one-of-a-kind creations.

[img_assist|nid=8|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=222|height=145]In addition, Heritage Celebration!, an area of educational demonstrations by local craft designers and guilds (here are the Guild participants), has been a huge success since its premier presentation in 1997. See and interact with local craft guild members in the gallery. These gifted artisans will demonstrate the techniques and skills used to produce quality American-made crafts. Live demos include: knitting, spinning, sewing, beadwork, quilting, woodcarving and wood turning just to name a few. Bring the kids and let them watch a crafter turn a simple slab of clay, block of wood, or skein of yarn into a stunning and functional work of art.
If you are a local guild member and would like to participate, please contact us.
